Morrells Single Component Stopping is a range of ready for use waterbased fillers developed for filling pin holes, nail holes and other small imperfections on wood for internal use They are formulated to be applied by either knife or scraper.This range is not suitable for repairing damaged edges or corners. The standard range consists of a selection of the most widely used wood colours.
Formulated on careful selection of quality raw materials, they have good adhesion/anchorage properties coupled with minimal shrinkage or absorption.
They are quick drying with excellent sanding properties.
How To Use
Colours
Application · Apply the filler directly on to the timber using either a knife or scraper.
It should applied slightly proud of the surface to allow for any shrinkage during drying
Deep holes should not be filled in one operation, as this can lead to excessive shrinkage causing the filler to crumble.
Overnight drying should be allowed for thorough hardening
The excess dried filler should then be sanded flat with 180 or 240 grit lubricated sandpaper.
The surface is then ready for normal polishing processes.
Important Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end results. Wood Stopping may accept dyes/stains differently to surrounding wood. Equipment can be easily cleaned with hot water.
